Tilt & Slide Patio Doors PSK
Tilt and slide patio doors referred to as PSK, offer a large glazing area, although the passages are half the size. This is due to the fact that the movable sash when opened, slides in the guides and hides behind the non-opening, fix glazing. The largest offered width of the active part of the tilt and slide patio doors is 2 meters.
One of the functions of this type of sliding patio door, and the first when it comes to the movement of the handle, is the tilting of the sash. The principle of operation is the same as for standard windows. In this position, the sash can be left for ventilation, bearing in mind that the gap is very large, it cannot be reduced, and the sliding patio doors are not secured against unauthorized opening in any way. Tilting the sash is possible thanks to the appropriate construction of fittings – in the upper guide, attached to the frame, double scissors slide on rollers to prevent the sash from falling out when tilted.
The basic function, i.e. moving the sash, allows the next movement of the handle. The lower edge of the frame then moves away from the guide. The PSK sliding patio doors can be opened without the use of great force. Trolleys are used for this, and excessive impetus will slow down the elastic bumper at the end of the guide. Easy closure allows the use of the so-called automatic closing, which ensures comfortable operation even with one hand.
